Homemade Chocolate Brownie

 

Chocolate Brownies

3/4 Cup Flour

1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda

3/4 Cup Sugar

1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine

2 Tablespoons Water

1  12-ounce package SEMISWEET Chocolate Chips (and a bit more if your Grandson is coming over)  🙂

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

2 Eggs

1/2 Cup Pecans   *optional

Lard

an 8 X 8 Baking Pan

HOW TO

Oven at 325 degrees.

Grease the pan and set aside.  In a small bowl, combine flour and soda.  In a small saucepan bring sugar, water and butter to a boil.  Remove from heat.  Add 1 Cup of the chocolate chips to the saucepan and stir until smooth.  Transfer the chocolate to a large bowl.  Add eggs, one at a time.  Add vanilla extract.  Stir.   Add flour mixture.  Stir.  Add remaining chocolate chips (and pecans).  Pour into the greased pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
