Homemade Double Chocolate Brownies.

Double Chocolate Brownies

3/4 cup Flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup lard

3/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoons water

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (a 12 ounce package)

2 large eggs

powdered sugar (garnishment)


oven at 325°

in a small bowl combine: flour, soda & salt.

in a saucepan bring to a boil:  lard, water & sugar.  stir constantly.

remove from heat & add ONE cup of the chocolate chips. Stir till smooth.  Add eggs, one at a time.  Blend well.  Gradually add the flour mixture.  Then add the other cup of chocolate chips.

Bake 30-35 minutes till toothpick comes out slightly sticky.

Cool completely before serving using a wire rack.

Sprinkle with the Powdered Sugar.
