Chocolate Topped Rice Krispies Squares
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
10 ounce package regular sized marshmallows (i use 40 marshmallows OR 4 cups of the mini marshmallows)
6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Cereal
2 cups of MILK chocolate chip
melt butter, add marshmallows. stir until well combined. remove from heat and add cereal. Combine.
I lightly buttered the bottom of a 9X13 pan. Pour into a 9X13. Press down lightly with a butter spatula OR a piece of waxed paper.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or over the stove till creamy. Gently spread melted chips over top. ( I placed the chips on a microwaveable dinner plate, evenly spread and microwaved them for 3 minutes. Keep in mind that the plate gets plenty warm but the chocolate was spreadable with a spatula. So easy )
cover any leftovers in plastic and keep them in the refrigerator
