49 caramels (a 14 ounce package)
3 tablespoons water
5 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup peanuts ( I substitute with pecans since hubby dearest cannot tolerate peanut products well )
6 ounce bag of chocolate chips
6 ounce bag of butterscotch chips
a small amount of butter
oven at 250°
in a small bowl combine: chocolate and butterscotch chips. Set aside.
in a saucepan, melt caramels and water. Remove from heat. Add cereal and nuts.
Butter a 9X13. Press cereal mixture into pan. Sprinkle top with chocolate and butterscotch chips.
bake for 5-8 minutes to melt the chips.
Remove and spread melted chips over top.
