Chocolate Brownie Bread

I can’t believe I have a recipe that has 3 of my favorite words in it.  Chocolate, Brownie and Bread !  I found it odd to take the “bread” out of the oven in the middle of baking and  add another important ingredient to the top (the chocolate chips), and then bake the bread for an additional 20 minutes.  I thought it would be a fail, but it turned out great and it made 2 loaves.  Smells great while it’s baking.  Win – Win !

Chocolate Brownie Bread

1 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Butter, melted

1 Egg

1 & 1/2 cups Buttermilk

1 & 1/2 cups Flour

1 & 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1 instant chocolate pudding mix (4 serving size)

2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder

3/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips

2     9 X 5 loaf pans

HOW TO:    oven @ 350°

Grease 2  9X5 loaf pans

Combine melted butter and sugar in a large bowl.  Add egg and buttermilk.  Mix well.

In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, pudding mix and cocoa powder.  Slowly add flour mix to butter mix.

Pour into greased loaf pans.  Bake 25 minutes.  remove and top with the chocolate chips.

Place back in oven and bake for another 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

If I can make this,….  anyone can !!!
