This recipe is older than I am. (Dried Beef, really??) It is the first cheese ball I ever attempted to make. And it is so good. I am a skeptical cook, but when I served this to my family prior to the Thanksgiving meal, it was devoured in 30 minutes. Yup, that good!
Dried Beef & Pecans Cheese Ball
1 8-ounce cream cheese
1/3 of a jar of Dried Beef, chopped into small squares (I used my pizza cutter) ( I found out that the dried beef IS freezable).
2 Green Onions, chopped
1/3 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 – 2 splashes of Worcestershire Sauce
Chili Powder
a handful of chopped Pecans
HOW TO:
Mix everything together EXCEPT the pecans and chili powder
Form into a ball or whatever plate style you prefer
Gently press pecans over your cheese ball and then sprinkle with chili powder.
Refrigerate. (Serve with your favorite crackers)
