Tartar Sauce

So we went fishing today.  And after the catch, I had to have a bit of tartar sauce.  Here ya go!  This kind of recipe is a taste as you go.

 

Tartar Sauce

  • Servings: approximately 1 cup

About 1 Cup Mayonnaise

sweet pickle relish… about 2-3 tablespoons.  Start with one, then add as needed.

Lemon Juice

Paprika

HOW TO:

Start with about a cup of mayonnaise.  Add a squirt of lemon juice to start.  Add more if needed.  Add at least 1 tablespoon of pickle relish.  Stir till combined.  The rest is a matter of how sweet or not sweet you like your tartar sauce.  Keep adding relish or lemon juice till you are satisfied with the taste.  Yep you can use dill relish.  Totally up to you.  We just prefer a little sweet over the baked fish.  I sprinkled the paprika and took the picture.  Normally I would just add the paprika and combine it… but it is much easier to show you that it was just a small shake.
