This recipe was on the side of the M&M’s bag a couple years ago. I dont know who was named Red, but must have been someone pretty special to get their name on the recipe and then on the M&M’s bag. Hmmm…coulda just typed it here as “Pat’s Amazing M&M Cookies” but… nah, the recipe name belongs to Red…. whoever that is. Thank you, Red. And, no, i didn’t use the M&M’s from a couple years ago….it was a new bag…. just sayin.
1 Cup Butter (2 sticks), slightly softened 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar 2/3 Cup Sugar 1 Egg 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract 2 cups Flour 1 & 1/4 teaspoons Baking Soda 1 teaspoon Salt 1 & 3/4 cups M&M Milk Chocolate Candies HOW TO: oven @ 350° In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until well blended. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix to combine. In a separate bowl, sift together: flour, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture slowly to the butter mixture. Combine well. Fold in the M&M’s. Chill the dough for an hour or overnight. (I didn’t chill the dough at all, because I was in a rush). Drop dough by rounded tablespoon-fulls onto a lightly greased tray, about 2 inches apart. ( I didn’t grease the cookie sheet…I used parchment paper) bake between 8-14 minutes depending on if you like chewy or crispy cookies.Red's Amazing M&M Cookies
