Polka Kielbasa Stew

Bring on the cooler weather!

You come home after work and your dinner is ready.

Polka Kielbasa Stew

  • Servings: 4-5 people, depending on the size of your bowl
  • Print

1  10 & 3/4-Ounce can condensed creamy onion soup

1  10 & 3/4-Ounce can tomato soup

1 Cup water

1 16-ounce can small white beans, drained and rinsed

3/4 pound polka kielbasa (I use beef) use whatever type you like. cut into 1/2 inch or smaller slices.  (mine are cut way thinner.  just a personal preference)

1 & 1/2 Cups potato, peeled and quartered. (again, my tater chunks are cut smaller)

1 cup carrots, sliced.  (approximately 3 regular sized carrots = 1 cup )  buy 4 so you can munch while you make it.

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 bay leaf.

HOW TO

(and I do love the dump factor in my recipes)

DUMP all into a large crockpot and simmer on low all day until tender.  I get up each morning around 4am so I start chopping and preparing dinner at around 4:30am.  we eat dinner around 5:30pm.  so, yes, you can literally walk away and do whatever for however long it takes.  The stew still tastes good even if it simmers on low for more than 8-10 hours.
