Chocolate Liquor

 

I could have put it under the cleaning recipes …as it “could” clean your clock if your not careful with your intake.  Anyway, enjoy!

This is definitely an adult beverage.  So easy too!  A nice after dinner sipper.  Yup, not a slam drink.

Ever here of Everclear Alcohol?  This is 151 proof.  I’ve heard it called “moonshine”.  …whatever… Just  be careful on how much you consume at one sitting.  The drink is very very good….but it ‘could’ kick you if you keep sampling it.  I served it in 2-4 ounce servings.

Here’s the recipe for the chocolate liqueur:

Chocolate Liquor

  • Servings: makes 6 or so cups? not real sure

1 quart whole milk

1 & 1/4 cups sugar

1 & 1/2 cups chocolate chips… (as high cocoa content as you can find – I used Guittard brand, it is 63% cocoa)

 1 cup Everclear ( at Bev Mo…found it cheaper at Total Wine )

HOW TO

1.      Place all ingredients except for the Everclear in a saucepan

2.      Heat slowly on low heat until, stirring until all the chocolate has melted and everything is combined (it will not be completely smooth, but shouldn’t be too chunky either)

3.      Bring to a low boil and boil for 2 minutes

4.      Remove from heat and allow to cool completely

5.      Once completely cooled, add the Everclear

6.      Store in the fridge and mix gently before serving

… (just kidding)….OramI?  o.0  hehe!
