Spaghetti Seasoning Mix

I love having this mix on hand.  I use it in not only my spaghetti sauce, but I also use it in the sauce for my lasagna.  I had all these ingredients on hand  AND  it does work and taste as well as the store-bought, overpriced packaged seasoning mix.  I was very pleased with this discovery….which reminds me…. I need to make another batch.   Enjoy!

Spaghetti Seasoning Mix

  • Servings: approximately 1 Cup
  • Print

1/4 Cup Cornstarch

1/4 Cup Dried Minced Onions

1/4 Cup Dried Parsley Flakes

4 Teaspoons Salt

4 Teaspoons Sugar

2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder

2 Teaspoons Oregano

2 Teaspoons Basil

1/4 Teaspoon Dried Thyme

1/4 Teaspoon Sage

HOW TO

my type of mixing is always the ‘dump method’ ….Dump all into a bowl, combine and store in a glass container or jar.

Add 1/4 Cup to 1 pound of fried out hamburger.  Add 1 can stewed tomatoes and 1 can of tomato sauce.

(Another option…. add 1/4 cup to 1 pound fried out hamburger.  Add 2 cups of water and 1 6-ounce can tomato paste)
