Banana Bread

 

This is my mom’s recipe from a long time ago.

Banana Bread

  • Servings: 2 loaf pans

2/3 cups milk

1 tablespoon vinegar

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 & 1/2 cups Sugar

1/2 cup Shortening

2 Eggs

3 ripe Bananas, mashed

1/2 cup walnut pieces

1/2 teaspoon Salt

2 cups Flour

HOW TO:

oven at 325°

In a 2-cup container, mix milk, vinegar and baking soda.  Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine all other ingredients.  Add milk mixture last.

Grease or Pam spray 2 loaf pans.

Pour half batter into each pan.

Bake 1 hour, checking after 50 minutes.
