Seven Layer Jello Salad

Almost to pretty to eat   ……Nah,  we devoured it  😀

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

7    3-ounce packages of assorted fruit flavored gelatin mix

1  12-fluid ounce can of evaporated milk, divided

4 & 1/2 cups cold water, divided

1  8-ounce cool whip

HOW TO

FYI:  If you plan to make this jello in one day,  it takes approximately 6 hours of your time.

Step 1    coat a 9X13 dish with cooking spray (like Pam).  Set Aside.

Step 2   In a medium bowl, dissolve completely one package of the gelatin in 3/4 cup boiling water.  Stir in 3/4 cup cold water.  Spoon into the 9X13 pan and refrigerate until almost set (45 minutes)

Step 3   After the 45 minute chilling time, dissolve another package of gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water in a medium bowl.  Stir in 1/2 cup cold water AND 1/2 cup evaporated milk.  Spoon over first layer carefully…if you try to just pour the next layer onto the refrigerated layer, you will make holes in the previous layer.  so be sure to gently spoon the jello and then refrigerate until almost set (another 45 minutes)

Step 4   Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all gelatin is used.  Just before serving, top with a dollop of cool whip.
