Mom doesn’t remember how she use to make her goulash. 😦 So, this is the closest I came to her recipe. I have been hankering Goulash for a while now. This seemed to work!
1 pound Hamburger 1 yellow Onion, chopped 2 Garlic Cloves, Chopped 1 cup Water 1/2 cup Beef Broth 1 15-ounce can Tomato Sauce 1 15-ounce can Diced Tomatoes 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning 1 & 1/2 teaspoons Oregano 1 & 1/2 Bay Leaves 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1/4 teaspoon Salt 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder 1/4 teaspoon Pepper 1 cup Elbow Macaroni, uncooked 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded HOW TO Brown Hamburger. Drain grease. Add onion & saute until tender (about 5 minutes). Now add everything else EXCEPT the noodles and cheese. Cover with a lid. and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add noodles and cook until noodles are “al dente”. Remove and serve warm. Top with cheese. Goulash
