Hot Apple Cider

Hot Apple Cider

  • Servings: 128 ounces
  • Print

2   64 ounce bottles of apple cider (Not Apple Juice)

6 Cinnamon Sticks

2 Teaspoons Whole Allspice

2 Teaspoons Whole Cloves

4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

Cheesecloth

Crock Pot

Cooking Twine

HOW TO:

Bring cider and brown sugar to a boil.

Transfer to the crock pot.

Add cinnamon sticks. (The last few times I’ve made this recipe, I have snapped the cinnamon sticks in half and placed them into the cheesecloth squares.  Either way is fine, it just seems to make the cider a little cleaner as you pour some in your cup.)

Cut your cheesecloth into about a 3 to 4 inch squares.  Make about 6 squares.

Divide up the allspice and cloves onto the cheesecloth squares.

Tie up and add to the crock pot.

Set crock pot on low and stir every so often.
