Hamburger – Sausage Casserole

This recipe is an oldie.  I got it from my mom many many moons ago.  Basic ingredients, but it goes well at potlucks and is affordable to make.

Hamburger - Sausage Casserole

  • Servings: approximately a 9 X 13

1/2 pound Hamburger

1/2 pound sausage (Original, not the sage flavored)

1 chopped onion

4 chopped celery stalks

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 & 1/2 cups water

1/2 cup rice 


set oven at 350°

Brown Hamburger, Sausage, Onion and celery.  Drain Fat.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer an additional 15 minutes.

Bake uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until rice is done.
