El Dorado Casserole


El Dorado Cassarole

1 pound Hamburger

about a 4th of a bag of Doritos Chips.  A great way to use up the last of the chips before they get too stale.

1   8-ounce can Tomato Sauce

1/2 small onion, chopped

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup cottage cheese

1/2 of a small can of green chilies, chopped

1/2 of a small can of black olives, sliced

3/4 pound of jack and longhorn yellow cheeses, grated

salt and pepper to taste.


Oven at 350°

Brown hamburger and onions. add salt and pepper to taste.  Drain fat.  Add tomato sauce and olives.  Cook 10-15 minutes on low.

In a small bowl, combine:  sour cream, cottage cheese and green chilies.

In bottom of casserole bowl, crumble the Doritos.  Then add meat.  Top with sour cream mixture.  Cover with the cheeses.

Repeat layers until all mixtures are used.

Bake until bubbly.
